someone special

people often wonder
as days passing by
why I keep on smiling
when it seems I should cry
people often ask me
why I'm seldom down
how I keep my head up
when heart aches all around
but people only look
as far as the eyes can see
they don't take the time to realize
that your a special part of me
you lift the load that I can't bare
to help me make it through
that's why I can raise my head up

I thought about you with love today
but hey, that's nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
and days before that too
as I lay awake at night
while the world is fast asleep
I take a walk down memory lane
with tear drops upon my cheeks
as the loving thoughts be with you
that speaks to me in dreams
our love for one another
grows stronger each day it seems
I'll always have those thoughts
and your tender loving kiss
or the memories of days gone by
